Charlie Moore is CEO of Global Debt Registry (GDR) with 20+ years experience building new FinServ businesses at major financial institutions like Lloyd’s of London and Barclay’s Bank. He has a track record of delivering award-winning innovation, transformation and growth to new and existing businesses.
Moore is focused on applying distributed ledger technologies to improve efficiency, integrity and deal execution within the structured credit market. At GDR, Moore oversees a team headquartered in Grand Central Tech, a startup-in-residence program for the most innovative startups in New York City, with another office in Wilmington, DE.
GDR's platform launched to the market in June 2018 with support for marketplace loans and broadened across asset classes in September of that year. GDR received multiple accolades under his leadership, including Asian Financial Society’s Award for Best FinTech and Capital Market’s Top 10 Blockchain Solution Providers of 2018, and was shortlisted for LendIt’s 2019 Blockchain Innovator of the Year Award. Teams Charlie has led have won Thomson Reuters Chairman’s Award for Best Product and Edison Awards for Innovation for Best Video Platform and Best New B2B Video Application.
Moore leads NYC’s free Blockchain in Lending Meetup, where dozens of lenders, service providers, investors and blockchain professionals across FinServ, banking, real estate, and InsureTech meet to discuss the latest in DLT.
Prior to leading GDR, he served as Managing Director of Business Operations and Strategic Planning for Thomson Reuters running innovation initiatives. Moore is a graduate of London Guildhall University and received his MBA from the University of Surrey, in parallel with the International Management Center, where he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Executive Management Program of Kellogg Business School.
